Res furtiva
A downloadable roguelike for Windows, macOS, and Linux
It's time of war and occupation. Your fatherland you owe so much to has been invaded by a greedy international organisation called G.M.E.T. You're a part of underground state resisting the invader. Due to your “experience” as a criminal, your missions will be all about burglary and theft.
---
This game is an attempt to bring mechanics known from “Commandos” and “Thief” game series to roguelikes.
Your opponents are strong, so you have to avoid open confrontation. Instead, you have to sneak, surprise-attack, carry bodies and pay attention to noises, which may bring attention of the guards.
Res furtiva was originally made for 7DRL Challenge 2020.
Did you like it?
- rate it and/or give me feedback; if I am to work more on the game, I need to know which directions would be interesting for the players,
- follow me on Twitter and/or here on Itch,
- have a look at my two previous 7DRLs: Artifex gladii (featuring fencing ratfolk) and Quinta essentia (about a witcher, a sorceress and alchemy),
- check out the 7DRL memories blog post. It's kind of a diary that focuses more on my feelings and impressions during the jam than on the game itself.

Made with precious help of Settegren (music), Daniel Moroz (some art) and Bartosz Cybulski (testing), as well as invaluable open resources, namely DawnLike, LPC and Calciumtrice Dungeon tilesets, Cakar Monyet font and jfxr.frozenfractal.com sound generator.
As always since 2018, Osnowa framework helped me to develop this game.
State-like resistance organisation idea was based on Polish Underground State.
